Description

Anubias nana mini is a tropical aquarium plant with small green leaves. This plant is easy to keep. It can grow to around 10cm in height and will thrive in low to medium light levels.

The ideal temperature range for his plant is between 24 – 30 degrees Celsius.

Being a small plant, it is great in the foreground of your aquascape. You can also attach any type of Anubias to aquarium wood and other fish tank decorations to give more interest to the scape.

This plant comes in a 5cm pot. It is suitable for any size aquaria and paludaria.

All of our potted plants arrive with rockwool around the roots, please take the plants out of the pot and gently remove the rockwool. Plant the roots into a suitable substrate or glue the rhizome onto aquarium decor to guarantee proper growth. Never cover the rhizome when planting Anubias into a substrate (only plant the roots that come from the rhizome).

Anubias have tough leaves so you’ll find that if you have fish that nip at plants they might leave this plant alone (but not always)!

Adding plants to your fish tank can help to keep the tank cleaner. Aquarium plants, in part, utilise fish waste to grow. So they can help lower nitrate and phosphate levels. If your nitrates and phosphates are very high, we would also recommend regular maintenance to help reduce these levels.

To keep your plants flourishing you need to make sure that they get enough light, CO2 and nutrition.

Anubias nana mini is a very hardy plant so almost any light levels are acceptable for this plant. However, low to medium intensity lights are better for not encouraging algae to grow. For most tanks 6 – 8 hours of light is about right. If you leave the lights on for too long you can end up with algae problems.

This plant is not too fussy about CO2. If you have a CO2 system it will benefit your tropical plants but it is not needed for this species.

We recommend feeding all aquarium plants with a high quality plant food like Ferropol or Plant Food+.

Please note that the photo is a typical example of this plant. Being a living plant, they do vary slightly.
