Here at our services office we have a mature group of tangs in our marine aquarium. If you are planning to keep a group of tangs you should make sure that you have enough space. Our tank is 180cm long which gives them plenty of swimming room. Another thing to consider when keeping tangs is to keep them in numbers. We recommend that four is the minimum group number to stop them from squabbling! In our office we have five tangs and of course they all have names;
- Yellow Tangs (x 2)- Hannah & Hannah
- Yellow Tail Purple Tang- Alan
- Gold Rush Tang- Goldie
- Regal Tang- Ryya

Feeding is important for Tangs
Our tangs are very well fed on a huge variety of aquarium foods. This is important for their nutrition needs because in the wild they graze on foods all day. They naturally eat a lot of seaweed with a few bugs thrown in but are also great scavengers and will try to eat almost anything that they find! Here’s a list of our tangs favourite foods;
- Mixed Seaweed Flakes
- Green Seaweed
- Red Seaweed
- Purple Seaweed
- Live River Shrimp
- Live Mysis Shrimp
- Live Brine Shrimp
- Live Copepods
- Marine Flakes
- Krill Pellets
- Frozen Brine Shrimp with Spirulina
- Frozen Mysis Shrimp with Garlic
- Frozen Chopped Cockle
